In anxiety and fear,
we hide behind locked doors,
both physical and imaginary,
uncertain of the world that waits.
Rolling the stone away,
throwing back the lock,
the Lord bursts in
with reminders of strength and hope.
With shouts of joy,
the Lord puts out a hand
to guide us from the caverns of loneliness,
and the shadowed cover of indifference.
Leading us to fresh, wide open heights,
we are to view the rising of resurrection
bringing new light and insight
to the relationships we are to building Christ’s name.
