Sunday 1st June 2014 – Easter 7A

After two weeks off because of the General Assembly and then struggling with a bad dose of the cold, I’m only just settling back into work mode.   This will be disrupted again during next week as I head to different climes for 4 days.   But hopefully normal service will be resumed by the beginning of August.

God of glory,

raising our eyes heavenwards You lift us from short-sightedness.

When life is fraught and tired, or unsettled by the seeming lack of opportunity,

You draw us towards a heavenly perspective

that invites us to step back and take in the view that we might find You.

With new vision, may we step out in Your name and bring change to those in need.

Amen

Sunday 11th April 2014 – Easter 4A

Good Shepherd,
Each day You welcome us and make a place for us to worship under the canopy of heaven.
Sheltered in Your presence, we are fed so that we might grow,
and in bringing us together You encourage us so that we might step beyond our fears.
Full of awe and wonder, let us worship You for Your care.
Amen.
